       Astafiev became the new protective suit "shield" to protect engineers from debris during explosive explosions. The armor portion of the protective suit is made of lightweight, high-strength material that prevents the metal-induced explosive device from detonating. The fabric of the protective suit is made of a flame retardant material.

       The report also said that the OVR-1 "shield" can maintain protection from minus 40 ° C to minus 50 ° C, and can also work under the conditions of rain and sleet. The modified protective suit weighs 8.5 kilograms, three times more than the protective clothing "Doubloon" in active service.
